Chicks Self Regulate
Chicks move closer when they need warmth and step away when they have had enough, self regulating just like they would under a hen. This supports healthier growth and behaviour.

The plate gives off gentle radiant heat from underneath, replicating a mother hen's body heat so your chicks can nestle in underneath just as they would in nature.
Unlike heat lamps, which can be a fire hazard, this plate runs at low wattage and removes the fire risks that come with an exposed bulb, giving you peace of mind.
Fully adjustable legs let you raise the plate as your chicks grow, keeping the warmth at the right height throughout their early development.
As well as chicks, it is suitable for ducklings, quail and other small poultry, so it earns its place in the brooder season after season.
Running on low power at around 13W, it delivers consistent, reliable warmth without the high electricity costs of traditional heating methods.

Compared against traditional infrared heat lamps. Always follow the setup guide for safe brooding.
Getting your heat plate ready is quick and tool-free. Set it up before your chicks arrive so the brooder is warm and waiting.
Place the heat plate in a dry, draft free brooder alongside bedding, feed and water.
Attach the legs and set the plate low so your chicks can lightly touch the underside. Plug it in and allow 10 to 15 minutes to heat up before use.
Watch your chicks. Huddling together means it is too cold, and avoiding the plate means it is too warm. Adjust the height until they settle, and leave cooler areas so they can self regulate.
Raise the plate regularly to maintain gentle contact as your chicks grow, and reduce use as they feather, at around 3 to 6 weeks. Keep it clean, dry and uncovered, and never cover the unit.

Pick the size that matches how many chicks you're raising. Go up a size if you brood large batches or want room to spare.
