It is powered by essential oils like oregano and thyme, MCFAs, organic acids, probiotics and functional herbs. The perfect combination to use as a daily supplement for optimal health and wellbeing.

Is this feed safe for my chicks and pullets?

Healthy Hen Gut Guard has been scientifically formulated for adult laying poultry. There is no research or trials undertaken for the use of it in pullets, chicks, or poultry under the age of 16 weeks and is not recommended. If you are seeking a product suitable for young stock, Nesty Boxes suggests the Poultry Porridge Veggie Mash.

Yes. The Nesty Boxes Healthy Hen Gut Guard is suitable for all adult laying poultry. It helps improve nutrient absorption, balance gut flora and strengthen immune defence. It has added diatomaceous earth for detox support and chilli for natural protection.

Do I need to feed anything else when using Healthy Hen Gut Guard?

This is a concentrated supplement designed to mixed into your flocks existing feed. The existing feed should be a balanced ration that supports the nutritional needs of laying poultry. This could include the Nesty Boxes Complete Feed, Nesty Boxes Veggie Mash, and or a pellet or grain mix from your local fodder store.

The daily recommended feeding rate is 20g per 5 chickens per day. Chickens eat roughly 130g per head per day, thus 20g of Healthy Hen Gut Guard is mixed into 650g of feed.

What is microencapsulation?

Microencapsulation forms a protective barrier around active ingredients, ensuring stability, extended shelf life, precise targeting, and enhanced control. This process improves formulation efficiency and optimizes performance. It is a process where tiny particles or droplets of one material are surrounded by a coating of another material, forming microcapsules.

Will this deworm my flock?

Healthy Hen Gut Guard won’t directly deworm your flock but it will assist with parasite defence. It supports gut integrity, by building stronger intestinal walls which make it harder for parasites like coccidia to invade. It promotes beneficial microbes that will compete with harmful organisms and assist with nutrient absorption which reduces stress on the immune system.
