    Product Description

The Nesty 30cm x 40cm chick brooder heat plate is a low wattage, mother hen style heat source built for larger hatches of chicks, ducklings and other small poultry. Chicks gather underneath for gentle radiant warmth and move off once they are warm enough, regulating their own temperature the natural way. Adjustable legs and a bulb free design give a big brood of up to 40 chicks safe, steady heat from hatch through to feathering.

    Why It Works

    Designed To DeliverReal Results

    Mimics A Mother Hen

    Mimics A Mother Hen

Soft heat comes down from beneath the plate, the same way a hen warms her chicks with her body, so the whole brood can press in close and settle.

    Chicks Self Regulate

    Chicks Self Regulate

Each chick takes what it needs, ducking under to warm up and wandering off once it is content. Leaving a cooler zone alongside the plate lets them manage their own temperature for steadier growth.

    Adjustable As They Grow

    Adjustable As They Grow

Raise the plate on its legs as the brood grows taller, keeping that light contact warmth at the correct height from the first day right through to feathering.

    Safer Than A Heat Lamp

    Safer Than A Heat Lamp

No exposed bulb means no glaring light and none of the fire risk a heat lamp brings, so you can run it overnight in a busy brooder with confidence.

    Energy Efficient

    Energy Efficient

Even at this larger size it draws just 30W, holding a steady warmth across the whole plate while keeping running costs low all season.

    Suits More Than Chicks

    Suits More Than Chicks

Ducklings, quail and other small poultry brood under it just as happily as chicks, so the plate keeps earning its place hatch after hatch.

    Setup Guide

    Up And Running InMinutes

Getting your heat plate ready is quick and tool-free. Set it up before your chicks arrive so the brooder is warm and waiting.

    1

    Set Up The Brooder

Place the heat plate in a dry, draft free brooder alongside bedding, feed and water.

    2

    Attach The Legs And Preheat

Attach the legs and set the plate low so your chicks can lightly touch the underside. Plug it in and allow 10 to 15 minutes to heat up before use.

    3

    Watch And Adjust

Watch your chicks. Huddling together means it is too cold, and avoiding the plate means it is too warm. Adjust the height until they settle, and leave cooler areas so they can self regulate.

    4

    Raise As They Grow

Raise the plate regularly to maintain gentle contact as your chicks grow, and reduce use as they feather, at around 3 to 6 weeks. Keep it clean, dry and uncovered, and never cover the unit.
