The light sensor picks up first light and opens the chicken door on its own, so your flock lets itself out at sunrise while you stay in bed, every single morning.
As the light fades, the door slides shut and your chickens are secured for the night, no more racing home before dark or discovering the coop was left open.
Need a later close for stragglers? Set exact open and close times in the free online configurator, then hold your phone to the sensor and it programs in seconds.
The full aluminium door and slider with powder coating shrugs off weather, pecking and daily use, giving the unit an extended working life where plastic doors fade and crack.
It runs on two standard AA alkaline batteries, so there is no mains wiring, no solar panel and no electrician, just fit the batteries and the door takes over.
Door, slider and motor come as a single slim unit, 24 x 35 x 3.3cm, that screws flat onto the coop wall over your pophole in minutes.

Fit two AA batteries. The door now opens at dawn and closes at dusk on the light sensor.
Enter your times in the online configurator, then hold the door's button until the indicator turns blue and press again to confirm.
Hold your phone screen to the light sensor and press start. A green light and high beep confirm programming.
