Materials & What's In The Box

Coop Material: Wood plastic composite panels and nest box, black powder coated aluminium frame, and 3mm galvanised steel mesh.

In the box: coop and run panels (3 modular sections), external WPC nest box, 2 perches, weather shield wall, lever wheel kit, heavy duty latches and hinges, all fixings (M10 bolts and nuts) and assembly tools. All coop panels are flat packed.

    Care & Cleaning

A big WPC advantage: no oiling, sealing or staining, ever. Simply hose or wipe the panels and let them dry, no warping or fading. Rinse the galvanised mesh floor and sides, and clear the nest box and perches between cleans. The smooth WPC gives mites far fewer places to harbour than timber, so a regular wipe down keeps the coop healthy.

    Setup & Usage

Arrives flat packed with all tools and parts. Bolt the three modular sections together with the supplied M10 fixings, fit the predator proof mesh floor, perches, weather shield wall, nest box and lever wheels. To move it, turn the wheel lever clockwise until the coop lifts clear of the ground, push or pull to fresh grass, then lower it. Collect eggs by lifting the nest box lid, and enter via the side gate or back door.

    Disclaimer

Suitable for 3 to 8 hens. At 7 to 8 birds we recommend daily free ranging, as indoor space gets tight. Stocking numbers depend on breed and time spent outside.

The 3mm galvanised mesh floor and sides are built to resist predators, but no enclosure is completely predator proof. Site the coop on firm, level ground and keep latches secured, especially overnight.

WPC has natural timber tones and variable grain, so colour and pattern may vary between panels.

5 year warranty applies. See warranty terms for full details.

    Why It Works

    A Closer LookAt The Details

    One Person Lift

Turn the wheel lever clockwise and it lifts the whole coop off the ground, so one person can roll this mobile chicken coop to a clean patch of lawn in seconds, then lower it back down, no dragging and no help needed.

    Built To Outlast Timber

Wood plastic composite won't warp, rot, splinter or fade like a wooden chicken coop, and it resists termites. UV tested under 60C heat for 6000 hours, it keeps its natural timber look through harsh Australian summers.

    Cooler Than A Metal Coop

WPC regulates temperature far better than the sheet-metal panels used on many chicken tractors, which heat up fast in the sun. Your flock gets a more comfortable coop in an Australian summer, with a weather shield wall blocking wind off the perches.

    Fewer Places For Mites

Red mite and lice love the cracks in timber coops. The smooth WPC panels give them far fewer places to harbour, so your flock stays more comfortable and the coop is easier to keep clean and healthy.

    Predator Proof Floor Included

A heavy duty 3mm galvanised steel mesh floor comes built in, so your chickens are protected from digging predators from day one, with matching mesh on the sides and solid latches.

    Eggs Without Opening Up

The external WPC nest box sits off the side with a lift up lid, so you collect eggs from outside in seconds without disturbing the flock or stepping into the run.

    FAQS

    Your Questions,Answered

How many chickens does this mobile chicken coop hold?

This portable chicken coop suits 3 to 8 hens. At 7 to 8 birds we recommend they free range during the day, as the indoor space gets tight. The more time your flock spends out on grass, the more comfortably the coop houses a fuller count.

How do you move a portable chicken coop this size?

With the built in lever wheels. Turn the lever clockwise until the bolt slots into the curved cut out and lifts the coop off the ground, then push or pull this mobile chicken coop to fresh grass and lower it back down. One person can do it alone.

Why is this chicken coop made from WPC instead of metal or wood?

Wood plastic composite won't warp, rot, splinter or fade, needs no oiling or sealing, and resists termites and mites. It also regulates temperature better than the sheet metal used on many coops, and was UV tested under 60C heat for 6000 hours, so this chicken coop lasts in Australian conditions.

Is this chicken coop predator proof?

The chicken coop has a heavy duty 3mm galvanised steel mesh floor and sides, included as standard, plus solid latches to resist digging and pushing predators. However, no chicken coop is completely predator proof, so site it on firm, level ground and keep it latched, especially at night.

Does the chicken coop give shelter from wind and rain?

Yes, the chicken coop absolutely provides shelter from wind and rain. The indoor section has solid WPC walls, a roof and a weather shield wall over the perches, giving a sheltered roosting zone, while the two run sections of this mobile chicken coop stay covered overhead for dry outdoor space.

Where do the chickens lay, and how do I collect eggs?

In the external WPC nest box on the side of the chicken coop. Just lift the lid to collect eggs from outside, without opening the run or disturbing your hens.
