How To Set Up Your72 Egg Incubator
Most keepers are loaded and running in under 15 minutes. Here is the four-step routine.

Assemble And Position
Fit the top to the base with the turning motor seated over the link, and set the incubator on a flat, water-resistant surface. Keep it away from direct sunlight, draughts and air conditioning vents.

Connect The Humidity Pump
Place the water container beside the unit, never on top. Fit the pump tubing and fill the container with purified or distilled water so the pump can feed humidity into the chamber.

Stabilise Before Loading
Run the incubator empty for several hours at the factory-set 37.5C so the chamber settles. Once stable, load your eggs pointed-end down.

Run The Hatch Cycle
Turning starts after day 1 to 2. Candle the eggs at the one-third mark to check development. Stop turning and fit the hatching mat 2 days before hatch day, then leave the incubator alone through hatch.

The 72 egg incubator has a built-in turner that rotates eggs at your chosen interval, anywhere from 5 to 180 minutes, with 45 minutes as the default. It is recommended to switch turning on after the first day or two and stop it two days before hatch.
How does the humidity control work?
An included pump draws water from a container beside the incubator and feeds it to an evaporation block inside, holding your set level automatically. Use purified or distilled water, and replace the pump tube roughly every three months.
What happens if the power goes out?
Your settings are saved and the incubator resumes automatically, showing a "P" indicator so you know an interruption occurred. Candle the eggs a few times afterwards to check development.
Can I hatch duck or quail eggs?
Ducks can be hatched using the 72 Egg Incubator. The standard trays hold 72 duck eggs at around 37.4-37.6C for 28 days. However, Quail eggs need the optional large tray (sold separately) and run slightly warmer at 37.6-37.8C for 16-23 days. Contact us for more details.
What common mistakes ruin egg incubation?
The usual and common mistake that ruin egg incubation is unstable temperature. The wrong humidity, skipping turning and opening the lid too often are also common mistakes. Hold a steady 37.5C, turn the eggs until the last few days, and keep the lid shut as much as you can.
How long do you leave eggs in the incubator after 21 days?
Chicken eggs usually hatch around day 21, but it is normal for a few to hatch a day or two later, so leave them until about day 23 or 24. Keep the lid closed while they hatch, then move dry, fluffy chicks to a brooder.
